Covid Recovered Patients Affecting Tuberculosis Infection In Karnataka: Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar
Tuberculosis is diagnosed in many of those who have been infected with Covid infection. The Minister of Health and Medical Education Dr K Sudhakar said that a detailed study on the issue has been submitted to the government.
Addressing the World Tuberculosis Day program at the Health and Family Welfare Department, the minister said that the first ever Tuberculosis test was conducted by the government for those who were cured of Kovid in the state. Of the 25 lakh people tested, 144 had tuberculosis.
He had tuberculosis shortly after the infection. The minister said that it has been suggested to study the matter and prepare a report.
Like Kovid, tuberculosis is an infectious disease. Tuberculosis comes from bacteria, which come from the virus. The World Health Organization says the world should be free from tuberculosis by 2030. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government aims to make India free of tuberculosis by 2025, he said.
